Jantanama News Uttarkashi: Rescue operation is going on to save the lives of 41 workers trapped in the Silkyara tunnel of Chardham All Weather Project. These workers were trapped inside the tunnel for more than 300 hours. Today there is hope that the workers trapped in the tunnel will be taken out safely. All kinds of preparations have been made for this. Hospitals and doctors are also on alert.

41 bed hospital ready in Chinyalisaur, department busy in preparations
As the time is getting closer to rescue the workers trapped in the Silkyara tunnel, the health department is also busy in its preparations. Health department doctors and officials are ready with all rescue equipment outside the tunnel.
Eight beds have been kept ready for emergency treatment at the primary health center at Silkyara, while a 41-bed hospital is ready at Chinyalisaur. If necessary, workers can also be airlifted to AIIMS, Rishikesh. All preparations have been completed for this also.
Being stuck for 12 days can affect your mood.
It has been 12 days since the workers were trapped in the Silkyara tunnel. The health of these workers are still fine, although some suffer from dysentery.They have given medicines continuously. The mood of the workers may be affected after being stuck for so many days.
In view of this, psychiatrists are constantly trying to motivate them as well as increase their enthusiasm. They are undergoing continuous counselling. Coming out after being locked in the tunnel for so many days may affect their health. One reason for this is the huge difference in temperature inside and outside the tunnel.
Health may be affected, ambulance deployed
Their health may also be affected while being taken out of the tunnel. Keeping this in view, the medical department has made complete preparations. For this, Director and Deputy Director level officers as well as specialist doctors have been deployed outside the tunnel. More than 40 ambulances have been deployed to take these workers to the hospital in Chinyalisaur. Here 41 beds have been kept ready for these workers.
Airlift will be done if needed
Besides, all necessary life saving equipment and medicines have also been kept. While taking these workers to the hospital, a green corridor will be built from Silkyara to Chinyalisaur, so that they can be transported as soon as possible. If necessary, they will be airlifted to AIIMS.
There is complete arrangement for 41 workers in AIIMS
Director General Health Dr. Vineeta Shah said that a request was made to the administration to provide helicopters to airlift the workers, which has been accepted. He said that health systems have been improved at every level. Complete arrangements have been made for the treatment of workers in AIIMS also.
