JANTANAMA NEWS ALMORA: The political turmoil over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Panauti’ statement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not showing any signs of stopping. The controversy turned into a poster war on Friday, when the Congress described the Prime Minister as ‘Panauti-e-Azam’ and the BJP hit back by calling the Gandhi family the ‘real Panauti’ of the country.
Congress has released a poster on the social media platform ‘X’. In which PM Modi is shown behind the curtain and ‘Panauti-e-Azam’ is written on it.
EC sent show cause notice to Rahul Gandhi
The word ‘Panauti’ is used for a person who brings bad news or luck. This poster war has started when the Election Commission has issued a show cause notice to Rahul Gandhi for using words like ‘cheat’, ‘pickpocket’ and ‘loan waiver for the rich’ against PM Modi. The Commission has asked him to reply by Saturday.
BJP hit back
At the same time, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala, while hitting back at Congress, also posted a poster on ‘X’. In which the names ‘Priyanka, Rahul, Sonia, Rajiv, Nehru, Robert and Indira’ are written and in the poster, the word ‘Panauti’ has been focused using the letters of the names of the members of the Gandhi family. The headline of the poster is – ‘This is the real solution for India’.
