JANTANAMA NEWS ALMORA UTTRAKHAND
The Uttarakhand government could not stop the migration of people, due to which villages are continuously becoming empty, the reason for the continuous emptying of villages is the lack of health, education, roads and other basic facilities in rural areas.

THERE CAN BE MANY REASONS FOR THE MIGRATION OF RURAL PEOPLE TOWARDS THE CITY. SOME OF THE MAJOR REASONS MAY INCLUDE.
👉There are more employment opportunities in cities and people migrate to cities with the hope of earning more income.
👉There is greater availability of education and health services in cities, which attracts people to cities for maximum services and facilities.
👉Cities have the possibility of better compatibility and social organization, which motivates people to improve their lives in cities.
👉 There are more business, investment and career opportunities in cities, which attracts people to cities for more economic prospects.
👉Cities have better access to basic amenities such as water, electricity, roads, and communication, which are not available in rural areas.
MIGRATION OF GODS (KEDARNATH AND GOLU DEVTA)
In this series, the people of Uttarakhand who have migrated in the past and considering themselves city dwellers do not want to come to their village or mountains, are now engaged in the migration of Gods in collaboration with the government. In the first phase of this series, temples of Baba Kedarnath and Golu Devta are going to be built in Delhi. The protest against the construction of Kedarnath Dham in Delhi has already started.
WHAT IS THE REASON BEHIND THE KEDARNATH CONTROVERSY?
According to reports, ‘The recent statement of Surendra Rautla, President of Kedarnath Dham Trust Burari, became the reason for this entire controversy. Surendra Rautla said, the elderly who are unable to go to Kedarnath Dham, will now be able to have darshan of Baba in Delhi.’
IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT THE CHIEF MINISTER OF UTTARAKHAND PARTICIPATED IN THE INAUGURATION OF KEDARNATH TEMPLE
The ongoing controversy over the Kedarnath temple being built in Burari, Delhi is getting deeper with each passing day. Last Wednesday (July 10, 2024) in Delhi, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Bhoomi Pujan program of Kedarnath temple and laid its foundation stone. At that time, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dhami, who was counting the benefits of the construction of Kedarnath temple on the day of foundation stone laying, also changed his tone after the opposition of the Chardham Trust. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, the Bhoomi Pujan of the construction of a symbolic temple of Lord Kedarnath was done in Delhi, after which the people of Kedar Valley and the Panda community of Kedarnath are hurt and angry. During that time, Minister of State Ajay Tamta, Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj, Almora Salt MLA Mahesh Jina, Ranikhet MLA Dr. Pramod Nainwal and Kedarnath Dham Trust President Surendra Rautela were also present with the Chief Minister in the program.
WHAT DID CHIEF MINISTER DHAMI SAY?
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said after the controversy over the Kedarnath temple, ‘Temples have been built symbolically at many places, but they cannot replace the Dham.’ Dhami said, Baba Kedar’s Dham is in Uttarakhand and it cannot be built anywhere else.’ In this regard, CM Dhami has also given appropriate guidelines to the committee.
TIRTH PRIESTS EXPRESSED OBJECTION
On the other hand, there is also strong opposition to the construction of a replica of Kedarnath Dham in Delhi. The Tirtha priests of Kedarnath Dham are continuously protesting against it. If no action is taken in this matter, the Char Dham Mahapanchayat along with the Tirtha Purohit Samaj has warned to intensify the movement.
The Tirtha priests said that the construction of Kedarnath temple in Delhi is against religious tradition. It is being built against Sanatan traditions. Baba resides in the Himalayas and you should not misuse that name. This type of work should be stopped immediately. Chief priest Shiv Shankar Ling said that this is the Tapabhoomi of Nar-Narayan. This is the Tapabhoomi of Pandavas and Lord Krishna. Do not spoil its name. If our words are not listened to, then we will destroy the government.
SHANKARACHARYA AVIMUKTESHWARANAND ALSO EXPRESSED HIS OPPOSITION
At the same time, the big saints of the country are also against it. On this matter, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand said that Kedarnath Dham is one of our twelve Jyotirlingas. His address is told only in the Himalayas. It is not right to build a temple in his name and to build an exact same temple. He said that we do not oppose the construction of Lord Shiva’s temple. But making a copy of Kedarnath Dham and saying that those who cannot go there can come here and worship, is not right.
SHRI KEDARNATH DHAM TRUST BURARI’S CLARIFICATION
Shri Kedarnath Dham Trust Burari clarified the controversy and said that not Kedarnath Dham but Kedarnath temple is being constructed in Delhi and it has nothing to do with the Uttarakhand government. As is known, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Bhoomi Pujan of Kedarnath temple only after the request of Shri Kedarnath Dham Trust.
