ALMORA. Here once again a case has come to light which has brought shame to the relations where a drug addict son killed his mother for not giving him money for drugs.
According to the information received from the police, Leeladhar Bhatt, resident of village Nainoli of Danya area, gave a complaint in the police station that his son has killed his mother. After which, the police team reached the spot and took the dead body of the deceased Gopuli Devi, age-62 years, wife of Leeladhar Bhatt, resident of Nainoli police station Danya Almora, into custody and took necessary action in the Panchayatnama, and a case was registered against the accused under section 103 (1) BNS.
The team constituted by the police for the arrest of the accused raided the house and today on 08/12/2024 morning, the accused of murder, Gokul Bhatt, age about 35 years, son of Liladhar Bhatt, resident of Nainoli, police station Danya Almora, was arrested 50 meters before the Jagannath Hotel on the Danya Almora Road, from Danya and necessary action was taken.
During interrogation, the accused told that he is a drug addict, when he did not get money for drugs, he beat up his mother and killed her.
