Lok Chetna Vikas Samiti participated in the prestigious Himalayan Conclave 2025, organized under the theme “Indian Himalayan Region–2047: Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Socio-economic Growth.”
The organisation set up a dedicated stall displaying jute and allied products, value-added local food items, women-led SHG innovations, and sustainable livelihood models representing Almora’s grassroots initiatives. The showcase drew appreciation from researchers, policymakers, and organisations working across the Himalayan region.
The Samiti expressed heartfelt gratitude to the GBPNIHE team for their warm hospitality and well-managed event arrangements.
The organisation also humbly noted that limited local outreach and publicity led to fewer visitors than anticipated. Strengthened promotion in future events would greatly support community organisations and SHGs in reaching a wider audience.
The Samiti shared glimpses from the event and reaffirmed its commitment to contributing towards a sustainable and empowered Himalayan region.
